The United States Treasury and the Canadian government are today the majority owners in Gm after Gm on June 1, 2009 was forced to file for Chapter 11 backruptcy. This is a result of the fact that the US goverment invested $57.6 billion in TARP money in the company to save it. Buying a used car from a private seller instead of a car dealer is traditionally cheaper. However, you may not always be getting the best deal. A car which is purchased in a private sale cannot be guaranteed to be in good condition plus you cannot be sure that nothing will go wrong with the car once you have bought it. (more…)

1973 Corvette stingray

The Corvette is a classic car that have survived into its 6th generation as one of GMs truely iconic cars. Corvettes have been rolling on the streets since the early 1950s when the first Corvette was designed by legendary engineer and automotive stylist Harely Earl.

TomTom have recently announced that they have teamed up with Apple to make a Sat Nav ap for the every popular iPhone?

The easy answer is no. Coming in at £60 this piece of software for the iPhone is exactly the same as a normal Sat Nav with a few bits actually taken out. (more…)

I used to be roadie for a number of different bands, and for those who are not familiar with the definition I will elaborate. The roadie does all the hard grafting, from heavy lifting to assembly of the equipment for the whole show. As a fan, you turn up at the ‘gig’ and have a great time, not only marvelling at the performers but also the lighting or stage design. (more…)

Volvo are conducting a large field test with the aim of preventing any injury or accident in a Volvo by 2020.

Around 100 Volvo V70 and XC70 cars have been fitted with state-of-the-art technology which will monitor how people deal with different driving situations.

The technology will monitor the drivers behaviour whilst driving and analyse how this changes depending on the situation. (more…)
